Our Hearings, Our Voice (OHOV) has issued a briefing sheet which explains the process for partners who would like to work with the young people.
OHOV is an independent board for children and young people from across Scotland between the ages of 8-18, who have experience of the Children’s Hearings System.
The first group of Board Members were recruited in the autumn of 2018 and came together in Glasgow for the first time in November 2018. Since their first meeting, the young people have spent time building relationships, designed their logo, developed their agreements (for how they will work together) and identified priorities for action, change and improvement.
The Board Members have recently begun working on a range of projects and we are excited to be receiving a number of other requests from organisations and individuals keen to work with OHOV. This is fantastic news and the young people are enjoying the projects so far.
However, to ensure we have a consistent approach, and that the young people are supported appropriately and not over-burdened, we have put some guidance in place which is detailed in the briefing sheet.
Thank you to all partners for your ongoing support!
