Generating Evidence and Promoting Improvement

The Group discussed recent Hearings-related research and agreed that research findings had not been shared effectively with partners across the System or acted upon fully.

Partners agreed the working group should consider:

  • Promoting “evidence” in our improvement programmes.
  • Gaps in our research activity and scope to commission and support future activities in this area .
  • The balance between quantitative vs qualitative data and ensuring the prominence of lived experience of children and young people.
  • How we maximise evidence, data and knowledge and increase its potential to impact positively on practice and outcomes.
