On Care Day 2022, SCRA has published its Route Plan to Keep The Promise.

The Route Plan and accompanying more detailed Strategy document explains how SCRA will Keep The Promise. The plans link closely with The Promise Scotland’s Route Map which has identified themes, activities and priority actions for 2021-24, aligned with The Promise Change Plan with two key strands of Keeping The Promise in SCRA – improvement and reform.

Neil Hunter, SCRA’s Principal Reporter/Chief Executive said: “We are creating a 10 year road map to contribute to the overall redesign and strengthening of the Children’s Hearings System. It might sound like a long way off, but we’ve got lots of exciting things happening now.

“Over the next month, year and decade, there’s going to be loads of great improvements and changes in the Hearings System. We look forward to working with our own staff, with our partners and most importantly, people with lived experience of the Children’s Hearings System. Their voice will be at the heart of everything we do.”

To provide information about our work to Keep The Promise, we have created a dedicated section on our website. It contains information in more accessible formats, including BSL and easy read.
